Results after Gurston

The sun had his hat on and was definately playing on the weekend, at a roasting Gurston! This meant an opportunity to break records although for some cars (and drivers) Sunday was too hot! In 1C2WD James Hunt won both days, lowering the target on each day although only just on the Sunday. In 1E2WD I followed suit, lowering the target both days but again by a smaller margin on the Sunday. In 2A Graham did the same, two wins, two lowerings and again not by the full margin Sunday. In a very competitive 2B class Martin took the win from Keith on the Saturday by a tiny margin, on Sunday they were 2nd and 3rd again by tiny margins. In 3A Julian lowered the target on Sat but couldn’t get under on Sunday, finishing 2nd both days. In 3F Graham Frankland finished 3rd both days but lowered the targets. In 5B Sarah came 3rd on Saturday in a huge class, only 6 100ths from a class win and taking a full bonus, but on Sunday the whole class was affected by the soaring temperatures, Sarah finishing in the middle of a very very tight class.

It was brought to my attention that in some cases the change to reflect up to 1 bonus point for time rather than 0.5 wasn’t being reflected on the website. This has also been corrected. Apologies it was due to the change in our regs for this season.

What does all this mean, well Pete stays top extending his lead, with myself moving 2nd and Ian 3rd. However no one yet has completed 8 events, and several without 2 Hills and 2 Sprints, so there is time for big changes when people go above 8 and drop scores etc. Remember you MUST do 2 Hills and 2 Sprints.

As always any questions/concerns about the scores please let me know and I will explain/clarify or correct!
