Driver Biography

I watched my first motor race at Brands Hatch in August 1959, but didn't start competing in sprints and hill climbs until 40 years later. In between I spent many years on the water racing a Laser. I sold the boat to buy a basic Westfield kit in 1992 and spent two years building it. My first competitive event was in 1999 in the Westfield Speed Championship and started competing in the Midland Speed Championship in 2003. Since then the car has gradually been modified and now has a dry sump "All Steel" Crossflow with Omex throttle bodies. I have twice been awarded the "Best Prepared Car" and won the Consistency Award in 2016, with second place twice betore. Now in my 70's, I still enjoy preparing the car and competing in a very friendly championship.
